Why is the build quoted instead of listed?

Because the audit is what makes a fixed number possible. Anyone publishing a build price is either quoting a template or padding for what they haven't looked at yet — we map one workflow all the way through first, then quote the build off what we actually found, fixed to a signed scope. The audit is the step that turns a range into a number.

You keep the plan either way. If the honest answer is that the work isn't worth building, that's the answer you paid for, and it's yours to take anywhere.

Do you charge hourly?

Not on a build. Build fees are fixed to a signed scope, so the number in the proposal is the number you pay — no meter, no overage, and no line at the end of the month you didn't agree to. Advisory is the one place an hourly rate appears, and even there it is sold as a single four-hour block rather than a running clock.

We also never mark up anything we pass through, and nothing is billed outside a signed scope or a written change order. Those aren't positions we're taking on a marketing page — they're the terms in the agreements we already sign.
